about SORA Renewal
Q: When do I have to renew my SORA certification?
A: Your initial certification is good for one year. You must renew 90 days prior to the expiration of your certification. Renewing early does not impact your current term.
Q: What happens if my SORA certification expires before I renew?
A: If you fail to renew your SORA certification before the expiration date you will need to restart the SORA process from the beginning. Click here for details about the three-step process [link to SORA page].
Q: How do I renew my SORA Certification?
A: To renew, log into your NJSP account and submit your renewal application. You must have a credit card on file to pay for the renewal.
Q: Is training necessary to renew my certification?
A: Yes. You must attend a recertification course. Erigere Rapidus offers an 8-hour course that meets the requirements for recertification.
Q: How much does it cost to renew?
A: The NJSP charges $78.75, including an FP Archive Fee of $18.75. The SORA renewal course through Erigere Rapidus is $99 in advance via credit card or $129 the day of training via cash or cashier’s check only.
